Meet the Machemers

As the school year ends, Paul ’65 and Pam Machemer will pack up their Toyota Prius and head west on a cross-country road trip, stopping along the way to visit alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends of George School. Their first gathering is planned for Tuesday, June 25, 2013 in Seattle, Washington.

Students Think Differently

More than 130 members of the sophomore class gathered in the Anderson Library on May 29 to present the results of their individual Thinking Across Disciplines (TAD) projects. The results were remarkable.

Seniors and juniors recently enjoyed a sweet victory—made even sweeter by a treat of Rita’s water ice—in a campus competition encouraging students to understand and participate in the George School Annual Fund.

Twenty-one George School athletes representing baseball, golf, boys’ and girls’ lacrosse, softball, boys’ tennis, and boys’ and girls’ track were honored on the Friends Schools League’s roster of spring 2012-2013 all-league teams.

George School announced the launch of a new microsite, Future.GeorgeSchool.org, in support of the school’s Fit for the Future fundraising initiative. Visitors can learn more about campaign priorities, ways to give, and news and events.
